Rodney Gritten, BA, MSc, FRSA, has been a trustee of Independent Age since 2006, a Member since 2005, and a supporter and fundraiser from 1993.

Rodney is an economist and social scientist with a Masters Degree in Business Studies. Specialising in corporate and charity governance since 2000, his appointments now include a non-executive directorship in NHS Surrey, and a post as Chief Steward of Guildford Cathedral. His business career included eight years of financial management in industry and 23 years in international corporate banking. Married for 40 years with four children, his wife was appointed Volunteer Visitor for Weybridge in 2003.
