Simon Bottery joined Independent Age as Director of Fundraising, Policy and Communications in December 2007. He has 25 years' experience in marketing, communications and journalism, most recently as Director of Communications at Citizens Advice.

Prior to that he worked in the voluntary sector for the development charity ActionAid, in the commercial sector for drinks company Guinness and in journalism and publishing.

At Independent Age Simon is responsible for fundraising, communications and public affairs.
