Director of Finance and Corporate Services

Noel is responsible for Finance, IT, Human Resources and Property. 

Previously, he was at Rethink (the operating name of the National Schizophrenia Fellowship) where he was Director of Resources and Corporate Affairs for ten years. During that time he oversaw the overhaul of the financial framework of the charity, introduced new strategies for IT and risk management, and improved financial management and reporting systems.

Prior to that, Noel was an independent consultant to the Healthcare and Voluntary Sectors, Deputy Director of the Institute of Health Services Management and worked extensively in the NHS. Noel is a Trustee of the Cassel Hospital Charitable Trust, a founder member of CIPFA’s Charities Panel, and a member of Roehampton University's Audit Committee.

He began working for Independent Age in June 2008.
