Philip Rosser, Director of Volunteers and National Networks

Philip is a manager with 30 years experience, starting in social work and latterly as a passionate advocate for volunteering in the voluntary sector. He is a trained social worker with an MSc and has written for the Open University and various social welfare publications.
Philip comes from Macmillan Cancer Support, where as Head of Volunteering he has been developing the volunteering strategy to harness individuals’ commitment in both fundraising and service delivery. Prior to that Philip was Head of Volunteering at the British Red Cross, where he also created the volunteering strategy to ensure volunteering remained at the core of its provision of services.
In this new role for IndependentAge, Philip will have responsibility for enhancing the development of the volunteer network; reviewing and strengthening the area network; and ensuring that the grass roots of the charity is central to all that we do. |
