You are invited to Independent Age’s Carol Service in the lovely setting of St Michael’s Church, Chester Square. As always it will be a truly memorable occasion, bringing together so many members of the Independent Age family.
We are delighted to welcome back Surrey Youth Choir, which has established itself as one of the leading youth choirs in the country. The choir promises a lively programme of varied and uplifting Christmas music.
The church this year will be decorated by our dedicated team and Independent Age staff, who will once again create more stunning floral displays, adding to the atmosphere of this very special occasion. Please do join us for what promises to be an evening of beautiful music and traditional words, followed by wine, savouries and mince pies.
Surrey Youth Choir
Surrey Youth Choir (SYC) was founded in 1987 and since then has established itself as one of the leading youth choirs in the country. It is a full choir, comprising around 50 or 60 singers between the ages of 12 and 21 and performs an eclectic repertoire, both sacred and secular, ranging from early to contemporary.
The choir has performed in major concert halls in both Surrey and London and also toured extensively throughout Europe and the USA. This will be the third year Surrey Youth Choir has performed at Independent Age’s Carol Service.
