Fundraising and Events
Independent Age works to keep older people independent and out of poverty by providing them with practical support, financial help and lifelong friendship. We receive no government funding, and our work would be impossible without the help of our supporters.
There are many ways you can help us to raise money - you can make a donation yourself, attend one of our events or put on your own, take part in a challenge or race or get your company or social club involved.

Great British Duck Race 2010
On Sunday 5 September 2010, the Great British Duck Race will take place, racing thousands of plastic ducks across Molesey Lock. You can buy a duck to race in support of Independent Age. Ducks cost £2, but we only benefit from donations over that amount, so the suggested price is £3. If your duck wins, you could win a £10,000 prize! Update: The Duck Race is now postponed indefinitely! The monthly prize draws will sstill continue. For more information, please check the link above.

Good Gifts

|
The Good Gifts catalogue lets you purchase charitable services for others as gifts for your loved ones. Why not give presents for those who really need them? Independent Age and Good Gifts have teamed up to offer two gifts that benefit older people. £25 buys an older lady a trip to the hairdressers', and £50 can give her a new pair of spectacles.
