About Patrick Gale
Patrick Gale was born in 1962 and educated at Winchester and Oxford. Following university, he lived in a succession of addresses, from a Notting Hill bedsit to a crumbling French chateau and had a variety of jobs while he sang for the London Philharmonic Choir. He wrote his first novel, The Aerodynamics of Pork, while working as a singing waiter in an all night restaurant, which was published on the same day as his second novel, Ease. With a sureness and lightness of touch, he has achieved a very impressive track record and his serene and beautifully crafted prose conveys a profound understanding of human nature.
