The Clifton Singers
The Clifton Singers is a group singing a variety of ensemble and solo pieces, named because most of them come to Clifton Hill for singing lessons with Kate Morgan. Kate teaches people of all ages from teenagers upwards. Many of them are now experienced singers, winning awards at festivals as well as singing in a wide range of concerts.
Gilly Slot
Born in Bedford, Gilly began piano lessons at the age of 6, then later took up the flute and classical guitar before going on to study music at the University of Surrey. She regularly performs as soloist and accompanist at local festivals and concerts, and is also a member of Southampton Classical Guitar Society and the Wykeham Chamber Orchestra, in which she plays the viola.
Ewan Davidson
Ewan is from the Isle of Man. His interest in keyboard instruments began when, at the age of 4, he found he could operate the pedals of a pianola piano with his hands. He was organ scholar of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and studied under Sir David Willcocks. Founder of three choirs, he also enjoys accompanying and solo playing on the piano, organ and harpsichord.
