Life at The Pines

Life at The Pines

The Pines is a purpose-built home overlooking the pretty park of St. Anne's Well Gardens with an entrance leading directly into it.

The_Pines_conservatory

The conservatory has been designed as a place of interest and enjoyment for every resident - however frail. Simply sitting in the sunshine watching the comings and goings outside provides a pleasant change of scene.

Rooms

All rooms are furnished but we encourage new residents to make themselves at home by adding some of their own furniture or favourite objects. Most bedrooms offer en-suite facilities, TV sockets and a personal phone extension (if desired).

Dining

We cater for all diets and preferences. Birthdays are celebrated with a home-made cake.

Activities

At The Pines we are delighted to offer social activities. Led by trained staff, residents are involved in activities such as music sessions, discussions and exercise classes in the company of others. The conversation and laughter does everyone good.

We also have an annual events programme which includes parties with relatives at Easter and Christmas and year round topical events such as the Jubilee celebrations which featured swing-time music and jive dancers

Brighton is in easy reach and there is a minibus available to take residents on outings.

Friendship

The_Pines_activities

The Friends of the Pines is a voluntary group whose members befriend our residents. They provide a weekly library book and trolley shop service; birthday gifts; invitations to tea in their homes and outings to the shops and seafront
